How Mega Man Universe is Secretly Mega Man Powered Up 2

Mega Man Universe is a curious title; by all rights it should be fantastic due to its sheer volume of fan service and its intriguing do-it-yourself take on Mega Man. But then we actually play it, and it feels just a teensy bit off. It both looks and feels slightly off, and such failings feel downright agonizing compared to what we're hoping MMU will be upon final release.

To that end, we chatted with producer Akiko Ito about the nitty-gritty of MMU, its genesis, and about why the game feels a bit "off" in our brief hands-on, among other things. Note that this interview was originally conducted during Tokyo Game Show 2010, and as such, Keiji Inafune was still employed by Capcom at the time.
